Review: The Detectives: Celebrating Seventy Years of the American Private Eye

The Detectives: Celebrating Seventy Years of the American Private Eye
The Detectives: Celebrating Seventy Years of the American Private Eye by Christopher Mills
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

An obscure but fun little prestige format compilation of some great black-and-white detective comics, this includes some excellent stories by some of the legends of the industry, including:

-Mike Mauser by Nicola Cuti and Joe Staton
-Mike Mist by Max Allan Collins and Terry Beatty
-Johnny Dynamite by Nick Alascia

There is also a Maze Agency story, a Tony Bravado tale, and a couple of cool pin-ups. Very underrated and unjustly unknown little collection!
