Review: Bronc Peeler the Lone Cowboy

Bronc Peeler the Lone Cowboy
Bronc Peeler the Lone Cowboy by Fred Harman
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A fun Big Little Book, this was based on the comic strip that eventually became Red Ryder, also done by Fred Harman.

Bronc ends up facing two separate bad guys in this one, which has him heading down to Mexico to find work with the vaqueros there. Coyote Pete comes along for the latter adventures and gets into trouble at a fiesta.

The artwork is fantastic in this book! Harman was an unsung cowboy artist that deserves much more exposure. Well-written, this book, even though it’s a “kiddie book”, is definitely recommended!
